Idaho has right around 100 drug and alcohol treatment programs in the state that provide rehabilitation services to about 6,000 people at a time. Even though less than 10 percent of those people are enrolled in an inpatient or residential facility, it appears that less of them are turning to methadone programs, which we consider to be a good thing. Overall, a lack of treatment beds for residential programs is a nationwide problem.
